ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Hundreds of people came out to Veteran's Park in Albany Saturday night to enjoy some good food and live music.

Easter Seals hosted their first annual Uncorked and Unplugged fundraiser to benefit the organization's mission of helping those with disabilities and special needs.

Folks enjoyed a gourmet-style picnic dinner and heard sounds from three different live bands, including Albany Center Stage, Jay Memory, and Dread Clampitt.

"It's been a great event so far and hopefully we will raise more money in the future because we do service 50 counties so there are a lot of people with disabilities and some of them just need a break," says Eagle Seals Board of Directors Lauren Watson.

The event raised about $40,000 for Easter Seals Southern Georgia.
