    Ravi Mikel Givens was arrested Tuesday and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. He is being held in the Dougherty County jail. Givens, who played ball at Westover and Stetson
    Agents say that police responded to the apartment because of a burglar alarm. Officers found the back door broken open and went inside. That's where they detected a strong odor of marijuana, and saw pot in plain view.

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany man involved in a hit and run remains behind bars.

Albany Police say 42-year-old Glenn Jones was driving a 1995 Ford F-150 South on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive near Johnny W. Williams Road, when he hit two pedestrians then took off.

It happened around 6:40 Saturday night. 21-year-old LaQuisha Hines and 17-year-old Fernese Jenkins, both from Albany, were taken to the hospital and have since been released.

Officials found Jones at the Mount Zion Apartments and he has since been booked in the Dougherty County Jail, no bond has been set.

Jones has been charged with probation violation and a long list of additional charges:

  • Possession of dangerous drug
  • Drugs in original container required
  • DUI
  • DUI Less Safe
  • Driving with Suspended Privilege
  • Unlicensed Driver
  • Open Container Alcohol
  • Driver to exercise due care
  • Possession of Marijuana LTO (less than an ounce)
  • Leaving scene accident with injury
