Moultrie woman murdered

MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Officials are following leads to find a killer after a woman was found dead in Moultrie.

55-year-old Dominga Trejo's body was found late last night in the back of a trailer park.

The last time family members heard from Dominga Trejo, she was in her car waiting to pick up her husband after work around 7 Friday night.

"She always parks along this fence," said Issac Gonzalez.

But when her husband got off the bus, she was nowhere to be found.

Her body was found a few hours later around 10:30 in the back of Regency Village Mobile Home Park with multiple gunshot wounds.

"Some of the neighbors walked back there and found my mom's body and they called the police," said Gonzalez.

One of those neighbors was Mary Chavez.

"The body was behind this trailer right here, and like I said her face was to the floor, and one of her hands was behind her back," said Mary Chavez.

Chavez had one of her daughters with her when she saw the body, a shocking experience for both of them.

"I mean it is scary to see something like that happen here in this trailer park," said Mary Chavez.

Family members believe Trejo was robbed and possibly beaten before she died.

"My mom, she didn't deserve it, she didn't deserve to die the way she did, and I am going to make sure that I help police find whoever we are looking for," said Gonzalez

Her family is offering a $2,000 reward to anyone with information that would lead to an arrest.

No one has been arrested in the murder of Dominga Trejo but the GBI is investigating and following all leads. If you have any information, call the Moultrie Police Department.
