Tree experts say this is a good time to look at limbs over your house because they're more likely to fall in the winter.
Lee Harper of Harper Tree Service says more large limbs break during wet, cold weather.
Oak, Bradford pear, and pine trees are most susceptible.
"Your pine trees, the sap is not flowing good in the winter time like it does in the summer," said Harper. "It hardens up so it doesn't take much pressure at all to snap on off and break. And your dangerous ones are the pine trees that go up and split in two trees."
Harper says he saw more limbs fall and damage homes last year than ever.
