SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -

A car stolen during a violent armed robbery in Sylvester yesterday was found submerged this afternoon in a Worth County pond.

The Toyota the Matrix was pulled from the pond off Scooterville Highway Friday afternoon. The property owner noticed it submerged an called 911.

It belongs to Dilipkumar Patel who was beaten and robbed while opening K and K Beauty, a gaming room on US 82.

Sylvester Police detective Ken Washington said that investigators don't have much to go on right now, but they'll be carefully processing the car for any evidence that will lead them to the criminals.

The two suspects who beat Patel with guns before stealing his car are still on the run.

Patel was treated for his wounds and is doing OK. Police are reviewing surveillance video to get a better description of his robbers.
