Emotions ran deep in a Tucson Courtroom. The man who shot Congresswoman Gabby Gifford's in the head, killed 6 and wounded 16 others was recently sentenced to life.

He had to sit in a courtroom and look each one of his victims in the eyes.@ Victims and their families cried as they saw the man who caused so much harm.

They say this isn't closure but a step in the right direction.  Mavy Stoddard arrived at Federal Court to face the gunman who killed six and wounded 13.

Former Congresswoman Gabby Gifford's, faced her attacker, Jared Loughner for the first time since the shooting. Her husband Mark Kelly told Loughner, "You may have put a bullet through her head, but you haven't put a dent in her spirit, After this moment, here and now, Gabby and I are done thinking about you," said Mark Kelly. @

The victims say this day was a step in the right direction. The courtroom was standing room only as victims and their families made their final statements.

Loughner pleaded guilty to 19-charges to avoid the death penalty in exchange for life in prison. He was sentenced to seven consecutive life terms plus 140-years.
