ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Sunday is Veterans Day, but this weekend you can help honor veterans by coming out for a special celebration.

Albany will host its 5th annual Veterans Day Parade. It begins Saturday morning with music, followed by a formal ceremony during which a World War II prisoner of war will speak.

After the ceremony, a motorcade will make its way from the civic center to the VFW. Everyone is encouraged to participate.

Paul Murray VFW Post Commander and Chairman of the SW Georgia Veterans coalition said , "We are trying to encourage people to enter the motorcade, put flags on your vehicle and honor our veterans in south west Georgia."

The event starts at 10AM Saturday at Veterans Park Amphitheater.
