ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Two men charged with murdering a Valdosta man then setting his body on fire inside a truck were found guilty today by a Berrien County jury.

A judge sentenced Len Davis and Tavarus Johnson to life in prison.

In June 2011, Davis and Johnson severely beat and stabbed 31-year-old Carlos Robinson, then wrapped his body in a blanket. He was placed inside a truck that was found burning in rural Berrien County.

His body was so badly burned it was weeks before it could be positively identified.

District Attorney Cathy Helms said Robinson knew his killers and the three had had problems in the past.

Co-defendant Brandy Stone was sentenced to 10 years with two to serve in prison for tampering with evidence.

Robinson's family had reported him missing around the time his body was discovered.
