THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

With cooler weather here, and the holidays not far away, organizations that serve people in need are looking for donations.

The Thomas County Food Bank and Outreach Center serves about three thousand people each month.

Right now, they are in dire need of warm coats and blankets for the winter.

"If we did not have the support of this community, we would not be able to work. So we take financial donations, and food, and clothes. Whatever they would like to do would be very welcomed," said Volunteer Coordinator Mandy Hall.

Donations can be dropped off at the center on Broad Street or at First United Methodist Church.
