Schools encourage parental involvement

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Dougherty County School System is having a meeting with parents this morning at the Isabella Complex.

The school system is revising their Parental Involvement Policy for next year.

Under Title One rules the system must allow for parent input before a policy is enacted.

DCSS leaders say they want more parents to be involved in their childrens' education, and to support and attend the activities that schools present.
