The search continues tonight for a man accused of trying to rob a Cordele motel. Police say 24-year-old Benny James Johnson the third jumped over the counter of the Ashburn Inn on East 16-th Avenue June 13th when no one was at the counter then ran away when an employee walked in on him trying to get money from the cash register.More >>
CRISP COUNTY, GA (WALB) -
A man who eluded police for a year is in jail Wednesday night in Crisp County.
Cordele Police arrested 19-year-old Desmin Colbert Tuesday at a home on 10th Street.
He was wanted after an attempted burglary last November.
Two men with him Tuesday 21-year-olds Deon Dempsey, Junior and Le'Allen Jackson were also arrested for probation violations.
Colbert is also charged with cocaine possession. Dempsey faces marijuana charges.
