Agents say that police responded to the apartment because of a burglar alarm. Officers found the back door broken open and went inside. That's where they detected a strong odor of marijuana, and saw pot in plain view.More >>
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Albany Police chase down and arrest a shoplifter after they spot several store employees chasing him.
40-year-old Billy Carter is charged with shoplifting.
About 4:25 Tuesday afternoon, Albany Police saw Carter run from the Staples Parking Lot across North Slappey Boulevard with several employees right behind him.
Officers caught Carter on North Haley Street with two packs of DVD's and two camera cases hidden in his pants.
