Lee Co. GOP celebrates victory

LEE CO., GA (WALB) -

Lee County Commissioner Rick Muggridge cruised to victory Tuesday night and so did newcomer Luke Singletary.

We were there as GOP members watched as results came in.

Republican candidate Singletary defeated democrat Mary Egler in the race for County Commission District 2 seat, 84.1 percent to 15.9 percent.

Incumbent Rick Muggridge held on to his seat as District Four Commissioner over challenger Tim Nelson

"Both of those men are good people. With the addition of Luke and Greg Finch, we have an outstanding county commission," said Mike Sabot, Lee Co. GOP Chairman.

The Lee county Commission is now all Republican.
