In college volleyball the Albany State Lady Rams are ready to reclaim their conference championship when the SIAC tournament begins Wednesday at the HPER Gym
The Lady Rams are a perfect 16-0 in conference play this season after being runner ups to Kentucky State last year falling short of their 10th conference title in 11 years.
Head coach Robert Skinner points to a new off season program as the difference maker this season. He says the work the ladies put in during the summer and the beginning of the fall is what has led them throughout the season and will lead them through the conference tournament.
Coach Skinner said "Our athletic trainer worked extremely hard with them and got the majority of them in shape and by coming into the fall and in camp in shape I think it made all the difference in the world."
Outside hitter Sharme Ridley "We all can jump higher. I think its helped us a tremendous amount as far as on the court is concerned. I think we're a lot more fit."
The Lady Rams play the Clark-Lane winner Wednesday at 2:00pm at the HPER Gym
