It was a disappointing end to an up and down season as the Albany State football team dropped its all important rivalry game to Fort Valley effectively ending their season.
The loss put the Rams at 6-4 and second in the SIAC East Division behind Fort Valley as well as suffering their worst record since 2001
It a see-saw season for the Rams who struggled on offense for much of the year with transfer quarterback David Kooi at the helm.
The lost to Fort Valley also denied coach White his 100th win as the Rams head coach. Coach White reflected on what was an off year to ASU's standards.
Coach White said "We didn't have a good year offensively no question about that. Our line didn't have a good year. We came into the season thinking we had more play makers than we did but that didn't happen we weren't able to run the ball like we thought we could. It kind of changed things. Defensively I thought we improved a little bit but we didn't finish like I thought we would and on special teams I thought we were a tad better than we were last year."
ASU will lose 13 seniors off this year's team.
