THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

A suspected Thomas County cocaine dealer is in jail tonight after a weekend undercover sting.

Narcotics agents received information that 38-year old David Rauls, Junior was selling crack cocaine out of a white car on North Stevens Street in Thomasville.

Agents set up surveillance and sent in an undercover officer they say did buy crack from the suspect.

"A lot of times they try to ingest the cocaine, eat it and keep us from getting it, or throw it out the window. Cause you know it's cut up in small pieces sometimes it's hard to find. Sometimes it's easy to get rid of. So for us to be able to watch him sell it than arrest him is a big feather in our hat," said Narcotics Commander Kevin Lee.

Rauls is charged with sale of cocaine and violation of probation on a drug conviction.
