Dougherty County Commissioners are working to get the Albany-Dougherty Industrial Park up and running for potential tenants.
Monday, commissioners voted unanimously to begin extending sewer lines to the park in east Albany.
It's been under development for about three years and officials say this is a necessary step for future development.
"It'll allow us to really create more prospect activity and consequently when they see this park and see the different strengths of this park, it'll give us a good chance to bring in more business to Albany and Dougherty County," said Jeff Sinyard, the Dougherty County Commission Chairman.
The cost of this project is $945,580 and will be paid for with SPLOST revenue.
