ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
The Georgia D.O.T. Says that U.S. 41/State Route 7 resurfacing and lane closures will continue for two more weeks Lowndes County.
It's ongoing from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m., each Sunday through Thursday overnight for approximately two more weeks, on US Highway 41/State Route 7 between State Route 7 Business and Interstate Highway 75.
A Georgia Department of Transportation contractor is completing the resurfacing of this portion of US 41 during these overnight hours, as weather permits.
Temporary lane closures along the four-mile section will be put in place as work progresses.
(There will be no closures during Friday and Saturday overnights.)
Motorists should proceed cautiously through this work zone at all times, especially so during the referenced overnight hours.
