ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Open Arms just opened a Street Outreach Drop In Center for at risk teens. Community partners and leaders attended their opening ceremony Thursday morning.

The non-profit located at 603 Pine Avenue will service runaway, homeless, and sexually abused teens.

They will be able to walk in for hygiene products, clothing, and anything else needed to keep them off the streets.

Three years ago Open Arms lost their funding. They were able to open the new center with two grants from the Administration of Children's Youth and Family and Housing and Urban Development.

"When we're able to assist the youth to become positive in the community which will cut down crime rates and sexual exploitation as well," said Tiffany Solomon, Street Outreach Director.

Open Arms plans to help teens ages 12-24. If you know anyone who needs help give them a call at (229) 431-0217.
