ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Easter Seals Southern Georgia selected its child and adult ambassadors Tuesday morning at its headquarters in Albany.
Ty West, age 6, and Jimmy Hasting, who's been working for four years at Easter Seal were selected as recipients.
The award honors West and Hasting for showing outstanding character, leadership, and performance in the Easter Seals programs.
"When he came home at three weeks old, they answered questions, they gave us referrals, they were just a support in a time when we really needed it and they've been there his entire life," says Ty mother, Ann West.
West and Hasting will serve as advocates for the organization in 2013 and be the "face" of Easter Seals Southern Georgia.
