ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
A man driving on a suspended license is behind bars in the Dougherty County Jail after crashing his car into a restaurant.
APD says that Jihreel Malik Curry driver hit the curb just before dawn, and then ran into Dunbar's Barbeque Restaurant located at 1104 West Gordon Avenue.
No one was hurt.
Curry told officers that he swerved to avoid another car and a pedestrian, and that the car "locked up on him."
APD ran Curry's information, and found he had a suspended license.
He was taken to the Dougherty County Jail, and charged with striking a stationary object, driving too fast for conditions, suspended license, and failure to insure.
