ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Tift County Sheriff's Office has identified 32-year-old Adrian Golson as the man they believe killed 35-year-old Arlester Jackson, Junior, also known as "Hammerhead."

Jackson was murdered around 10:30 Saturday night on Cherry Street right off Highway 82 in Ty Ty.

GBI Investigators says Golson has family members in the Tift-Worth County area, and they believe that's where he's hiding.

"We have local law enforcement looking for him at this time. We have met with his family members and asked them to try to make contact with him and turn himself in to authorities," says GBI Assistant Special Agent Mark Pro.

Family members say Jackson spent his last moments in a chair in an empty lot right off Cherry Street before being gunned down by the shooter. Investigators say the murder stemmed from an argument that took place nearly a week ago during a basketball game. The two men were at the same location Saturday night where the argument picked back up and ended deadly.

Tift County Coroner Steve Wood says Jackson was pronounced dead on the scene when investigators arrived. The case is still under investigation. Authorities are still searching for the Golson and his family says they won't stop until they find his killer.

"The trigger man that shot him just came from on the side of him and shot him in the head and shot him multiple times and unloaded his gun on him," says Jackson's cousin Shantae James.

Jackson's body will be taken to the crime lab in Macon on Tuesday where they will perform an autopsy.

If you have any information the whereabouts of Adrian Golson, call the Tift County Sheriff's Department at 229-388-6020.
