ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
A unique, Halloween-themed show kicked off the 49th season of the Albany Symphony.
Two performances of Cirque de la Symphonie were put on at the Albany Municipal Auditorium on Saturday.
Organizers say the program is a combination of gymnastics, ballet and symphony music. It's designed to bring the magic of Cirque de Soleil to Albany. And events like this can have a big economic impact on the city.
"It's kind of not immediate, but when people are looking at Albany to establish new businesses, new companies new people moving to Albany. Our arts community is a tremendous selling point," said Tim Bullion, the President of the Symphony Association.
