SALE CITY, GA -
A South Georgia city celebrated Halloween and also raised money for their library.
Sale City held a children's Halloween carnival Saturday to raise funds for children's books.
Organizers say they've been thinking outside the box to try to enhance the library's children's center. And they say this is a positive event that can help revitalize the city.
"It's all about community and about children and about seniors in the community. And everybody just coming together, being close knit, so that Sale City can learn how to bring more to Sale City," said Tara Gardner, the city clerk.
There was also a haunted house Saturday evening. Organizers plan on holding more events like this in the city and they're hoping the turnout will continue to grow.
