Church volunteers fix home to benefit recovery center

Posted: Updated:

Volunteers from an Albany church spent the day fixing up a home to benefit a recovery center.

The house, which will be used for meetings and family workshops, was donated to their non-profit organization and will benefit the Graceway Recovery Center.

It's a long term recovery for women suffering from substance abuse.

"We believe in putting our faith into action and that if we do something to help, we are able to show our faith and make a difference in the community in a positive way," says Lou Ann Best, Christ United Methodist Church Admissions Coordinator.

They spent the day painting and reattaching doors.
