Ray Charles Music Festival will be at Civil Rights Park

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

You can enjoy a music festival in honor of a legendary Albany native Saturday in the historic Harlem neighborhood near downtown.

The Ray Charles Music Festival will be held Saturday from 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Civil Rights Park.

There will be vendors, food and live music including a performance by Ray Charles' daughter Sheila Raye Charles.

 "We're really for the community to come out and support this because Ray Charles is our native son and what better way to celebrate him than to come out and do what he liked and that is listen to music," said

Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 on site.

Children under 12 get in free.
