Thronateeska holds special trick or treating event

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Thronateeska teamed up with the Flint Riverquarium Friday night for a special trick or treating event.

Hundred of kids dressed in the favorite costumes and collected treats along a Candy Trail between the two attractions.

Organizers say it's a great way to help children enjoy Halloween fun in a safe environment.

"It's a safe environment. Everyone has fun. You can do all your trick or treating here. You don't have to go in the streets because we know it's not safe anymore, not as much as it used to be. Just to be in a room with a lot of different people is just so much fun," said Sherrell Lamar, Flint RiverQuarium.

The event included a costume contest.

All proceeds go to support the Riverquarium and Thronateeska.
