ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
An Albany Firefighter is honored for his heroic work.
Jason Davis was awarded the Firefighter of the year award at Tuesday's City commission meeting.
Davis saved the life of an elderly woman trapped in a house fire.
He says he's honored to be named the city's top firefighter.
"It makes me feel good to know that I did something good for the citizens of Albany and get acknowledgment for it," said Davis.
Davis has been with the Albany Fire Department since 2007.
