ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A 12-year old Albany girl is in good condition in an Albany hospital tonight after she was hit by a car Tuesday morning as she walked to the school bus stop.

A little after 7 AM  Keturah Powe was walking in the 1500 block of Westwood Drive when she was struck by a car driven by 23-year old Holly Hamilton.

Police say Powe suffered a head injury and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Police say no charges have been filed as they continue to investigate.
