Eat pink chips for breast cancer awareness

Posted: Updated:
THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

You can enjoy some good food to support breast cancer awareness.

Barberitos restaurant in Thomasville is partnering with Thomas County Central High School to raise money for breast cancer.

Thursday, student volunteers will be there.

They'll even serve pink tortilla chips.

A portion of Thursday's sales will benefit the Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center.

"Our kids are really excited. We're looking forward to the event. We're hoping everyone will come out and support. Jessica will be way over staffed for the event so she is ready," said Thomas County Central Yearbook Advisor Laura Parkerson.

"Breast Cancer has impacted me and my life because 12 years ago my grandma had breast cancer. She had it for about a year or so and she's actually a survivor now," said Student Volunteer Raquel Delaney.

"We put hope in our food" T-shirts will also be on sale to raise money.
