WORTH COUNTY, GA -
A Worth County man who admitted to shooting and killing a one and a half year old pet dog is charged with two misdemeanors.
Jason Morefield shot a Shih Tzu mix in the head this past Saturday with a 30-06 rifle and the Worth County Sheriff's Office charged him with one count of reckless conduct and one count of discharging a firearm near public road or highway.
Morefield said for weeks he tried to contact the Worth County Sheriff's Office and Animal Control. But when Cookie growled and tried to bite his children he'd had enough.
