TIFTON, GA (WALB) -
High school juniors and seniors will have an opportunity to visit Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Saturday, November 10 for the fall ABAC Stallion Day. Registration begins at 8 a.m. in the Donaldson Dining Hall.
"Stallion Days showcase ABAC tradition - caring faculty and staff, widely recognized and unique academic programs, and committed current students. One of the great things about Stallion Day is having the chance for future students to connect with current students who experienced Stallion Day as a high school senior. Students living the ABAC life every day are our greatest resource," said Brooke Jernigan, ABAC Enrollment Management Counselor.
Visitors will be able to take tours of the campus from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. given by the ABAC Ambassadors. The Stallion Marketplace will be in the Gressette Gym from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. and offers an inside look into over 50 academic programs including bachelor's degrees.
A free lunch for the visiting students will be provided from noon – 1 p.m. Meals are available for parents at a cost of $6 per person. During the noon hour, high school seniors will have a chance to win a $235 housing waiver, a one-semester meal plan worth over $1,000, or a $500 tuition grant. Those who have submitted official transcripts and official SAT/ACT scores could also receive on-the-spot admission to the college during the event.
