CALHOUN COUNTY -

A crop duster pilot is glad to be OK after his plane crashed Friday in Calhoun County.

The crop duster dropped a cylinder while loaded with cotton defoliant.

The pilot attempted to land in a corn field around 1:00 off Country Club Road, between Edison and Morgan.

The plane overturned in the field, but the pilot had only minor injuries.

Officials say the Federal Aviation Administration will not investigate.
