LEESBURG, GA (WALB) -
A Veterans and patriots Rally is scheduled for today at 2:00PM in Leesburg. The location is at the corner of Hwy 32W and Hwy19, Adjacent to Kingdom Vision Ministries.
Veterans, service men and women. Family members, and patriots are invited to attend.
The Colors will be presented by the Lee County High School Color Guard
Speakers include Colonel John House (Ret) –Desert Storm Veteran, Candidate for United States Congress, Former State Representative Mike Keown, Rear Admiral Brian Newman, Army Specialist Lamon Logue, Iraqi Freedom Veteran,
Organizers say that despite the large military community that exists in the Dougherty and Lee Counties area, there is a large contingency of veterans who feel they have been forgotten.
Many of these veterans speak of their frustration with the bureaucracy that stands between them and their benefits. Veterans and Patriots Rally of South GA will recognize Veterans for their sacrifices, provide information to those seeking resolution to Veteran Problems, and provide free food and entertainment for those interested in Veteran fellowship.
