ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Folks took a walk on the wild side, Thursday, to support Chehaw Park.
The Friends of Chehaw hosted the 17th annual Walk on the Wild Side Fundraiser.
It included live music, food from Outback Steakhouse and a silent auction.
Organizers say the fundraiser is vital to help maintain one of Southwest Georgia's biggest attractions.
"Chehaw is one the most unique resources in Southwest Georgia. We're lucky to have it here in our backyard and we just work to try to support it," said event organizer Tom Seegmueller.
All proceeds go to the park to help make it a better place for its visitors.
