ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Mobile technology is changing rapidly.

Thursday one company brought the latest way to get information on your mobile devices to Albany.

Verizon Wireless introduced its 4G LTE service.  The new service will allow for faster downloads for users.

There are a number of 4G LTE compatible products already available and they can used for more than just making calls and sending texts and pictures.

"It's also going to help out businesses, with a lot of the machine to machine.  This technology allows a refrigerator to speak to a computer system and to say 'hey, this part's failing'," said Brad Taylor, the District Manager for Verizon Wireless.

Taylor says that while Verizon did have to put new wires in place to support the faster speeds, the investment helps the company as well as it's customers.
