ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A Douglas man was shot early Monday afternoon, and police are trying to find out who pulled the trigger.

Douglas police tell us that the 24-year-old man was struck by a bullet in the East Ross Street and Mark Hanna Street.

Neither the condition nor identity of the wounded man was released.

Here is the news release from DPD-

On October 15, 2012 at approximately 1:45 p.m. officers with the Douglas Police Department responded to the area of E. Ross St. and Mark Hanna St. in reference to reported shots being fired.

It was found that a twenty four year old male had received a gunshot wound and the person was transported to the Coffee Regional Medical Center and received treatment for the injury.

The investigation into this incident is still ongoing.
