ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
As work progresses on the new Southwest Georgia Regional Airport terminal, airport officials begin planning the setup on the inside of the facility.
Tonight, the Aviation Commission began discussion for the interior plans for the new facility.
Contractors presented color palettes and structural design layouts to the board.
"Our contractor is having to building an interior mock up to show what a typical ticket counter will look like in the new building, see colors that are put together and make sure that everybody is satisfied with the colors that we want to put into the new terminal," says Airport Director, Yvette Aehel.
The terminal is scheduled to open next June.
Tonight, board also began discussing how to celebrate the terminal opening with the community.
