ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Pastor Ray Starling and his deacons are trying to figure out who smashed the front door of Saint Kline Church, went inside, but took nothing.

The church, built i 1952, is off the beaten path. It's located on Abigail Plantation, which is in the rural part of Dougherty County, off Gillionville Road.

Reverend Starling tells WALB's Jim Wallace that he noticed the front was bent and open early this morning, ands went in to investigate.

He noticed that the sanctuary door had ben forced open, but when he inspected the building, he couldn't find anything missing. Why someone bent the steel door to get in remains a mystery.

Church members and police are keeping their eyes open for evidence of the break-in, but they have few clues.

Starling said he hopes that people will leave his church alone.
