ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Thieves were determined to get inside a locked business early Monday morning.

Albany Police responded to 1030 West Gordon Avenue, shortly before 12:30, because of an alarm.

Police found thieves had made two holes in concrete walls to get inside an office directly behind Simply Fashions.

Burglars then had to cut another hole in a different wall to get inside the clothing store.

The store manager said the crooks stole sunglasses and jewelry worth between $75 to $150, but that the damage could cost thousands to repair.   The manager said she thinks the crooks broke into her store by mistake, probably meaning to break into the jewelry store next door.
