Albany police are investigating two Albany businesses were that were robbed over the weekend.

The owner of the Dixie Food Mart off East Broad Avenue says someone busted out a window of the convenient store and took about $500 and two carton's of cigarettes. It happened early this morning around 4:40 a.m.

A separate burglary happened at the Deep South Motel off East Oglethorpe Boulevard last night. Police say someone broke into an occupied room through the bathroom window and stole money from the guests while they were asleep. Both cases are still under investigation. There's no word on whether the two are related.
