ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Many people were hoping to see Phillip Phillip's this weekend at Georgia Throwdown.

But since Phillips is recording his album in New York, his parents came to talk with his fans. They filled a tent with all of Phillip's memorabilia like newspapers, American Idol pictures, and his first guitar.

They hope to talk with Phillip's fans and fill them in on what he is up to.

"They really want him out here, everybody misses him around here, but this is a really good event I hope people come out and support it because it is well worth it, a lot of entertainment, a lot of good bands, and you meet a lot of people," says Donnie Phillips, Father.

His parents hope Phillips will be able to perform at the Georgia Throwdown in years to come.
