WORTH CO., GA (WALB) -

Voting for the presidential election kicks off in Georgia on Monday.

Early voting has already begun in some states.

In Georgia, It runs from October 15th and go through November 2nd.

You can request a ballot by mail or vote in person.

This is an opportunity for people to vote who may not be able to go to the polls on election day.

"It is good for teenagers in school, off in college and that kind of thing, they can get their ballot and vote, we mail it to them and they mail it back, a lot of the elderly people, they like to come in and vote because it is convenient for them and plus it is not as hard on them as going to a precinct," says Sue Potts, Worth Co. Board of Elections Supervisor.

In Worth County, there are 11,500 registered voters. Election Officials there have already sent out about 300 absentee ballots.
