ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A big Breast Cancer Awareness event is on tap today in Albany.

The Phoebe Cancer Center, the Southwest Public Health District, the Albany Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and the American Cancer Society have joined forces for the 2012 Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon.

Today from noon-1:30 p.m., attendees will be served a complimentary lunch and then hear from guest speaker Dr. Tory Kimsey, M.D., director of Surgical Oncology at the Phoebe Cancer Center.

The event happens today at the Darton State College Student Center, Building C, Room C-266.
