ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
An Albany non-profit organization that serves people with disabilities honors those who help make it successful.
The Albany Advocacy Resource Center held its 34th Annual Community Awards Banquet, Thursday night, at the Hilton Garden Inn.
ARC officials presented awards to people they support for their successes, to board members and to the group's community partners.
The keynote speaker was Georgia Department of Revenue Deputy Commissioner Sean Casey.
"All stakeholders and all employees of the Albany ARC are tremendous assets to the city and to the state of Georgia for that matter. A lot of us should consider ourselves lucky to have them here in our backyard," said Casey.
The Albany Advocacy Resource Center provides services in Southwest Georgia for people with developmental and physical disabilities and other special needs.
