Artist’s paintings to be auctioned at Throwdown for good cause

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

One South Georgia artist will show off his talents at the Throwdown for a good cause.

Steve Hinton created the artwork on the official Georgia Throwdown poster.

Several of his paintings will be displayed at the event and his artwork will also be displayed on the backdrop of one of the musical stages.

The work will then be auctioned off and proceeds will benefit Strive2Thrive and the families that organization is working to pull out of poverty.

"We don't give out funds. We're trying to get families off of assistance, so our funds really go into teaching, training, education and the programs we provide for them. That's where the funds will go," said Cynthia George with Strive2Thrive.

Hinton told us it's an honor to have his artwork showcased at the Throwdown.
