ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Georgia Throwdown organizers say ticket sales are going well, but there are still plenty of tickets available for the weekend music festival.

Organizers say it's costing almost a million dollars to put together the 3 day event at the Exchange Club Fairgrounds.

They're expecting thousands of music fans to enjoy performances from more than 60 acts.

They expect a lot of people to buy their tickets at the gate, but there is still time to get them in advance.

"This weekend, there's definitely something to do in Albany. It's mainly a music event, but there are all kinds of other things going on. Don't let anything stop you from coming out here. Whether you like music or not, this is a great place to be this weekend, but especially if you like music," said Event Organizer Bo Henry.

The Georgia Throwdown kicks off Friday afternoon at three o'clock.

Tickets are $45 in advance, $55 at the gate or you can buy a 3 day pass for $85.
