BROOKS COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

Three Brooks County School Board members removed from the board in 2010 after being indicted for voter fraud are now back on the board.

Former board president, Nancy Dennard, and board members Linda Troutman, and Diane Thomas were reinstated this week.

The women, along with nine other people, were charged with unlawful possession of ballots and violating the procedure for absentee ballots.

Governor Nathan Deal issued an executive order that suspended the women, but now that order has expired.

"I don't think anyone who has been indicted for any crime should be on the board until that case is disposed of, particularity one crime that deals with them being on the board itself, but the law is what the law is," said Brad Shealy, current School Board President.

The women will remain on the board until the outcome of the trail. If they're convicted, they'll be removed, but no trail date has been set.
