THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - When Thomas County voters go to the polls next month, they'll choose a coroner.

Longtime businessman Don Shiver is challenging Incumbent Sam Brown.

Both candidates say they have the experience needed for the job.

"I was elected in 1980. I'm a trained death investigator. I'm trained through the police academy and the state of Georgia. The St. Louis University School Of Medicine," said Brown.

"I've been in the death care industry over 30 years. Served the people of Thomasville and Thomas County over 17 years and it's just a better way for me to serve my capabilities here in the county," said Shiver.

Election day is November 6th.
