Lee County has started the season 6-0 for the first time in school history and quarterback Stephen Collier is one of many reasons why the Trojans are still unbeaten.
Stephen Collier wins this week's WALB Albany Area Player of the Week award.
Dr. Tim Darden made the presentation Thursday morning at the Orthopaedic Associates Clinic.
In last week's win over Hardaway, the junior quarterback rushed for more than 175 yards and a touchdown.
He also threw for a score.
Collier says is still learning in his first season of playing quarterback at the varsity level.
Stephen Collier said. "Just game speed. The receivers are faster. The linemen are bigger. Other than that it is basically the same concept. Just have to make everything quicker with the decisions."
Lee County returns to action next Friday night when they host Thomas County Central.
